  • You need to unplug the devices you are not using, stow their cord safely and keep it out of the reach of children or pet
  • Appliances that generate heat needs a few inches of clearance so they can get good air circulation

  • You have to be extra careful and make sure all appliances are miles away from water, keep them away from vents that can drip

Cord

  • Check these regularly to see any cracks, kinks or frays
  • These are not made for jump ropes, and you need to avoid using them for anything else than their intended purpose
  • For Electrical Safety, you have to make sure that the cords are perfectly plugged in the outlet. If this is not the case, then it can pull out easily and can cause a number of problems
  • Avoid staple and nail cords in position at any given time. If the cord fails to remain where you want it to be, then you better use a tape to make sure it stays
  • Never modify the cord plug, don’t clip it or file it down, it will put yourself and your family to a great risk
